If you are looking for help

Calls, texts and chats to the National Human Trafficking Hotline (1-888-373-7888, text 233733) go to the hotline, not to Tharros One. We don't see them. When you open our Get Help page, or our guides for survivors, parents and hotel staff, we switch off analytics and advertising tracking for your browser on this site. It takes effect from that page on, so the view of that first page itself may still be counted once.

On a shared or watched device, use a private window, or clear your browsing history after your visit. The Leave this site button, or pressing Escape twice, takes you away from this site right away, but it can't erase pages already in your history.

What we collect, and why

• Forms (newsletter sign-up, training requests, the field survey and messages): what you type, such as your name, email, organization and message. We use it to reply, schedule training and send the newsletter you asked for.
• Donations: your name, email, phone, billing details and gift amount, to process the gift and send your tax receipt. Card numbers go to the payment processor through Wix's secure checkout; we never see or store them.
• Shop orders: your name, email and shipping address, to make and deliver your order.
• Gala tickets are sold through Givebutter, under Givebutter's own privacy policy.

Who handles it for us

• Wix hosts this site and runs our forms, donations, store, checkout and newsletter.
• Printful prints and ships shop orders, so it receives your name and shipping address.
• Givebutter handles gala ticketing.
• Payment processors connected to Wix's checkout handle payments.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we never share our newsletter list with anyone.

Cookies and analytics

Wix sets a few cookies and browser storage items the site needs to work, such as keeping your session and your cart. Wix's built-in analytics counts visits in aggregate. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook or Meta pixels, or advertising trackers. Opening our Get Help page, or our guides for survivors, parents and hotel staff, turns off Wix analytics and ad tracking for your browser on this site from that page on (the view of that first page may still be counted once).

Email

You only get our newsletter if you sign up. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away.

How long we keep it, and your choices

We keep donation records as long as tax law requires, and other information only as long as we need it for the reason you gave it. To see, correct or delete your information, email admin@tharros.one. We'll answer within 30 days.

Children

This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Our online safety guide is written for parents and caregivers.
